Stylized illustration in an experimental style, about the problem of high shipping expenses when shopping online.
I love style experiments like these. I also love breaking through conventional rules, such as the avoidance of tangents. In this case I processed a couple of deliberate tangents in the image.
Why is avoidance of tangents a convention? Is there a secret rule book somewhere that I don't know about?
ReplyDeleteWell, it's a common habit among macho illustrators to attack each other about tangents that are present in a piece of work. :)
ReplyDeleteI guess that's because tangents usually disturb the readability of an illustration, unless you use tangents as a stylistic device, like maestro Hanco Kolk.
ReplyDeleteWow, macho illustrators attacking each other... where are they??
