Mars Gremmen
Mars Gremmen was born in Nijmegen, The Netherlands, in 1969. He started his comics career in the 1990s, publishing 'Meneer Foutjes' in Sjors & Sjimmie Stripblad. This series ran from 1994 until 1997. During this period, he also wrote scripts for the 'Sjors en Sjimmie' comic. From 1995 to 1999, he drew 'Trix' for Sjosji. He also collaborated with Peter de Wit on 'De Familie Fortuin' and made 'Popi de Clown' for Striparazzi. For magazine Hello You! Gremmen makes 'The Girl is Mine', a comic that has been published in album by Silvester in 2004. For the Astmafonds, he created 'Max & Manfred', for National Geographic Junior he created 'De Ontdekkers' and for the computer magazine Macfan, he has created 'Mac & Maggie'. The comics magazine Myx publishes his hilarious comics diary 'Stripdagboek'. Besides this comics work, Mars Gremmen also wrote scenarios, did advertising work and drew storyboards for a number of films, including Dick Maas' 'Down' and Esmé Lammers' 'Tom & Thomas'. He also does caricatures for the animation series 'Café de Wereld' and for Veronica Magazine.
