Büch Reject

A cover I did for a 'Liber Amicorum' ( a friend's book) dedicated to the deceased Dutch writer Boudewijn Büch, it's title not yet 'tweaked'.
While looking for a missing piece of paper in the Himalayas of paper that surround me, I came across this discarded reject...
The publisher preferred a photo on the cover after all.

  1. I really like it Peter! The most important Buch elements are present, such as the dodo and the Rolling Stones. But most of all I find it remarkable how recognizable Buch's silhouette is.

  2. Oh yes, I just saw the Stones tongue. Great work, Peter. What a pity that this cover was rejected, but lucky for us that you share this nice piece of art with us. I also like the red colour. Thank you.

  3. I'm not so sure ' a friend's book' is the correct way of describing the meaning of 'Liber Amicorum'... 'A book of friends' would have been better, I guess. But: Hey, I'm Dutch, not English!
