Scotch

Sellotape is called "Scotch" here in France. This is another experiment to do Duck covers without the heavily inked outlines.

Herman Brood cd cover

CD cover design for a non-existing tribute to the non-conformist, drugs-loving Dutch singer and painter Herman Brood, who killed himself by jumping from a building. The title is a wink to the text "I'll grow up to be just like you" from the song I would stay by the Dutch band Krezip.

Euthanasia-cover

A tricky subject to illustrate. But I like the big questions in life. There's immediat drama when you start drawing.
This will be my focus for the coming year, trying to pick the right subjects to make the illustrations better.

cover nrc.next

I made 2 illustrations. The first one appeared on the cover of newspaper nrc.next, the other next to the story inside. It was all about 'new sobriety'.

Dayplanner

This is the cover of a dayplanner i did about a year ago, for a college named 'Hogeschool Gent'. Had the freedom to design the entire cover, including the typography. The entire typography of their housestyle is based around the different weights of the fabulous font 'FF Prater' which i have been using myself for as long as i can remember.
I just came across this piece as i was commissioned today to do another cover for next years edition of the planner.
